New Collection

(May 6, 2025) – Ripple Fiber, a fiber optic internet provider based in the Southeast, begins construction on the first phase of its $140 million Central Massachusetts project. Soon to follow Holden’s groundbreaking milestone, the provider anticipates construction to begin soon in the neighboring Town of West Boylston. Between Holden and West Boylston, over 9,000 households will receive access to Ripple Fiber’s network. While actively exploring expansion opportunities throughout the state, Ripple Fiber aims for its first Massachusetts customers to begin using the new fiber internet service by mid-2025.

“Ripple Fiber is excited to soon introduce our world-class fiber internet to residents in Holden, West Boylston, and more in Central Massachusetts. Introducing more choices into the market empowers residents with better connectivity, improved service experiences, and greater value,” said Greg Wilson, Founder and CEO of Ripple Fiber. “We’re grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received from local leaders and look forward to helping equip these communities with future-ready, reliable internet built to meet their growing needs.”

Construction in additional parts of Worcester County will begin soon, with announcements of expansion areas to follow in the coming months. As this phase continues to roll out, Ripple Fiber expects to open two dedicated offices, including one in Worcester County, to ensure an enhanced customer experience and demonstrate the provider’s commitment to establishing a strong local presence in each market.

“The Holden Municipal Light Department is pleased to announce an upcoming initiative with Ripple Fiber,” added Barry Tupper, General Manager of Holden Municipal Light Department. “This development will provide our customers and the residents of Holden access to high-speed internet services at competitive rates. We are excited about the positive impact this will have on the community.”

“The West Boylston Municipal Plant looks forward to working with Ripple Fiber.  Our customers will soon have high-speed internet service options at competitive rates,” said a representative with the West Boylston Municipal Light Plant.

As the construction phase begins, residents are encouraged to pre-order service online or by phone. With Ripple Fiber's 10 gig-ready, 100 percent fiber optic network, residents will have access to a strong, dependable network that will power communities for decades to come. Whether using Wi-Fi for remote work, online learning, gaming, or video streaming, customers can expect exceptional bandwidth and symmetrical upload and download speeds. Known for transparent pricing without contracts or hidden fees, the provider offers multiple package options, with three core products leading the way—500 Mbps, 1 Gig, and 2 Gig.

While many have already begun receiving direct updates from Ripple Fiber, homeowners within the current build area can expect to see mailed letters and door hangers sharing more information about what to expect during the construction process.
