(October 8, 2024) – Ripple Fiber is acquiring the fiber internet assets and fiber customers of CloudWyze, the company announced today.

The acquisition of CloudWyze’s assets will extend Ripple Fiber’s North Carolina network into Harnett, Martin, and Nash counties.

Ripple Fiber expects that its infrastructure will provide state-of-the-art communications for residents for decades to come, through its 10 Gbps-ready fiber optic network and patented software.

The acquisition of Cloudwyze’s assets continues Ripple Fiber’s recent aggressive expansion.

In August, Ripple Fiber announced its partnership with Open Broadband. The plan is to build a fiber internet network for residents living in Woodruff, South Carolina, a project that is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

In September, the company announced plans to move into the Michigan market after receiving support from local officials to move forward with an expansive build. The company anticipates the start of construction to take place in the coming months and aims to begin launching service for over 60,000 Wayne County residents by 2025, while continuing to actively explore expansion opportunities in the surrounding area. This milestone marks Ripple Fiber’s entrance into the Midwest region.

“As a rapidly growing provider, Ripple Fiber is always actively looking for avenues to expand our network across our home state and the nation as a whole,” said Ripple Fiber Founder and CEO Greg Wilson.

“This agreement with CloudWyze allows us to more quickly enhance our footprint and increase fiber internet access in targeted areas. “With a strong growth plan for the remainder of 2024, we are eager to welcome each of these customers to Ripple Fiber and introduce our service to more North Carolina residents.”
