(July 24, 2024) – Two panels in the Overbuilder Toolkit program at Fiber Connect 2024 will share insights from industry experts regarding keys to success and ways to separate from the pack.
An impressive lineup of CEO’s and telecom executives will join two panels to be moderated by Broadband Communities Editor Brad Randall at Fiber Connect 2024 next week in Nashville.
The panels, both slated for next Tuesday’s “Overbuilder Toolkit” program, will cover adoption challenges in crowded markets and factors critical to success.
The first panel, involving names like Greg Wilson, the CEO of Ripple Fiber, and Karen Hoch, a vice president of marketing at Lumos, will discuss elements that are shared among successful providers that have entered competitive regions.
The Overbuilder Toolkit program, presented by GFiber and Actifai, will collectively address growth that has increased competition for residential broadband services in suburban, urban, and rural markets.
According to a summary of the program on the Fiber Connect 2024 website, untapped rural markets present a unique opportunity for operators to establish a “fiber first touch.”
The program’s first panel, titled “What Factors are Critical for Success,” will dive fully into the topic.
“Creating the right mix of services in an increasingly competitive marketplace will make all the difference to digital savvy customers,” a description of the panel on the Fiber Connect 2024 website states.
Joining Hoch and Wilson to share insights on the panel will be John Meyer, the chief marketing officer for Gateway Fiber, and Chris Holloway, the director of OzarkGo.
The second panel moderated by the Broadband Communities editorial staff will look at the topic from a different angle, exploring how ISPs can set themselves apart in fiercely competitive areas.
That panel, titled “Adoption Challenges: Breaking Through in Crowded Markets,” will feature names like Ned Brody, the CEO of Actifai, Shane West, a chief operating officer and SVP at TDS Telecom, Tanna Hanna, the director of marketing and social media at ALLO Fiber, and Jeff Manning, a vice president of network strategy at Shentel.
“Entering new markets is always a challenge, especially when some incumbent providers have been a part of the average home’s TV, phone, and data service for decades,” a summary of the panel stated. “How can overbuilders create traction and drive market demand for services without sacrificing margin?”
Attendees can catch the panels in the Overbuilder Toolkit program from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Tennessee Ballroom on Level 2 of the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.
“What Factors are Critical for Success?” will kick off the program at 3:32 p.m., while attendees interested in catching “Adoption Challenges: Breaking Through in Crowded Markets” can catch the action beginning at 4:30 p.m.
