Step 1: Planning
Before construction begins, a lot is happening behind the scenes to deliver fiber internet to each community.
During this comprehensive planning phase, we work closely with local government agencies and utility companies to secure all the necessary permits and plan the installation route. Through consistent, thoughtful communication and due diligence, we finalize our build plan and determine each partner, such as subcontractors assisting with construction.
We also meet with homeowner associations (HOAs) and neighborhood groups to make everyone in the community aware of the fiber internet installation process, anticipated timeline, and safety precautions. In most cases, residents will receive doorhangers and mailed postcards as the planning phase comes to a close to provide further notice that construction is about to begin.
Step 2: Construction
During the construction phase, we begin to lay the fiber optic cables, following the locates provided by local officials to make sure existing public utilities (like cable wires, gas lines, utility pipes, or water lines) are not disrupted during installation. When

Pro tip: Mark the location of any sprinklers or invisible fencing in your yard, especially if they may be in or near the easement. We will provide you with black flags to mark those important spots, and our team will gather those flags as we pass your property.
Step 3: Land Restoration
Immediately after construction, workers will do initial repairs for safety. This first part of the cleanup process, in preparation for the lawn restoration phase, might involve:
During this phase, Ripple Fiber’s Land Restoration Team surveys all affected properties to determine if escalation is required. Complex landscaping needs, such as plant and shrub replacement, mulching and ground cover restoration, hardscape repair, and sprinkler repair, are identified. The Green Team is then alerted to address each issue. Upon completion of all restoration efforts, homeowners are contacted to confirm satisfaction.
